NY Times Reporter Has Unkind Words for Ossining

In her NY Times article, 7/22/2014, p. A16, concerning John Cheever's house, reporter Lisa W. Foderaro includes derogatory remarks about Ossining and the Ossining public schools.  For some reason, she does not quote her sources or references for her disparaging comments.  In addition, she fails to mention the laudatory coverage of Ossining schools by her own newspaper.  Specifically, a 1/26/2011 article mentions that Ossining High School and the Bronx High School of Science led the nation in semifinalists for the Intel Science Talent Search. In addition, she fails to mention that in 2012, Intel awarded Ossining High School the Intel Star Innovator Award.  This NY Times reporter has done a tremendous service to Ossining and to a school system that has achieved distinction.  Shame on her and the New York Times for publishing such a disparaging article.
