Visiting Hours are Friday for Frank Barreiro

Frank Barreiro of Ossining died July 22, 2014, he was 88.  He was born Jan. 27, 1926 in NYC to Manuel & Carmen (Ramos) Barreiro.

Frank served in the US Army during WWII and was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a Police Officer with the Village of Ossining Police. He was a Motorcycle Officer and retired as a Detective.

Frank was co-owner of Phil Bar Blacktop, he worked at Millwood Sanitation and was a building maintenance man, just to name a few.

Frank was a member of the Ossining Fire Dept., Monitor Hose, the NYS FOP #9, Westchester Detective’s Assn. & Ossining Elk’s Lodge.

He was pre-deceased by his brothers Manuel, Joseph and sister Ruth Martin. Frank is survived by his wife Rose, daughters Diane, Eileen Halsey (Sky), Nancy, grandchildren Ryann, Cody, Sheff, Frank, Omar, Lily, Joseph and great-grandson Zion.

He will be reposing Fri. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach and Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass of Christian burial Sat. 10am at St. Ann’s Church Ossining, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Prostate Cancer Foundation appreciated.
