Former Chef Maria Laviano of Ossining, 83

Laviano worked as a chef for Lucy's Restaurant in Yorktown and at St. Ann's for many years.

Maria Laviano of Ossining died on Jan. 21, 2014, she was 83. She was born in Sassinoro, Italy on Aug. 5, 1930 to Domenico & Crescenza (Chiariotti) Santucci.

Maria worked as a Chef for Lucy’s Restaurant in Yorktown and at St. Ann’s for many years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Vito. She is survived by her daughters Carmelita Solla, Silvana Laviano Felippelli, sisters Lucy Martin, Amelia Fabbri, brothers Modesto Santucci, Ettore Santucci, Alfredo Santucci, grandchildren Angelo Solla Jr., Adriana Acevedo, Rosaria Del Monte, Vittorio Solla, Favian Felippelli, Jenny Felippelli, great-grandchildren Nicolette Del Monte, Juliana Solla, A. J. Solla and Alessia Solla.

She will be reposing Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Fri. 10am St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
