Alice Budney Camp Dies at 82

Camp was a lifelong resident of Ossining and an OHS grad.

Alice Budney Camp a lifelong resident of Ossining peacefully passed away at her residence. Alice was born in Ossining on September 30, 1929 and was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Motheral) Budney. She was 82.

Alice was a graduate of Ossining High School class of 1947. She was hired by the President of the Bank For Savings in Ossining as the Presidents Secretary in 1947. She worked continuously with the Bank through all of its expansion until her retirement with Wachovia Bank where she was the Branch Manager in Thornwood.

In her retirement Alice enjoyed volunteering at the Trinity Church Thrift Shop. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, with the great grandchildren bringing her the greatest joy. She also enjoyed monthly trips to Atlantic City with her lifelong friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Leroy (Riggy) and siblings Helen MacDonald, Robert and Jack Budney. Alice is survived by her children Gregory J. (Theresa) and Rosemary Camp; her grandchildren Gregory Jr., Kara (Chris) VanVoorhis, Stacy Cronin, Kathryn Cecere; her four great grandchildren Benjamen Walker, Sydney VanVoorhis, William Walker and Jackson VanVoorhis; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends..

Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 9:30am St Ann’s Church 25 Eastern Ave, Ossining. The Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
