Finding Work We Love

You can find work that you love and bring love to the work you do.

With several years of worldwide economic distress and high unemployment, many workers are questioning their commitments to careers and their loyalty to employers. Many others, however, continue to search for work that they love and to explore opportunities to bring love to their jobs.

Loving Work, published by Orbis Books, the book division of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, is Mike Hayes’s story about his own search and what he found.

Hayes left a promising career in sports broadcasting in New York to discover God’s intention for him. In sharing his journey, he takes readers into career questions that have spiritual answers. He asks “Who am I—really?” and “What am I here for?” He also asks “How do I find the work I can do best?” and “Can I find happiness in my work, or is it my job to bring happiness to work?”
