Castaldi to Carlucci: Stop politicizing the hurricane!

Janis Castaldi calls on incumbent David Carlucci to stop politicizing the natural disaster and instead to champion real solutions.

Says incumbent can't wait to offer more bad solutions

OSSINING, NY -- Janis Castaldi, candidate for State Senate in New York's 38th District, blasted opponent David Carlucci today for continuing his "disastrous and immature" record of supporting unfunded mandates. Castaldi's criticism comes on the heels of Carlucci's proposing a bill requiring gas stations to purchase 72-hour electrical generators.

"True to form, my opponent has released his plan to ease congestion at the pump: more unfunded mandates," charged Castaldi. "Even before much of our community's electricity has been turned back on, Mr. Carlucci is politicizing a natural disaster to grow Albany's regulatory regime. My opponent is a bureaucrat, I'm a businesswoman. New York is the least business friendly state in the country. We don't need more job-killing regulation, we need to make it easier for our businesses to grow jobs here in New York."
