Holidaze Mini-Camp

Fill a child's winter break days with games, animals, hikes and seasonal activities to end the year on a natural note at Teatown.

Fill a child’s winter break days with games, animals, hikes and seasonal activities to end the year on a natural note. From December 27-30, 2011, at Teatown Lake Reservation’s HoliDaze Minicamp, children’s senses will be reawakened as they explore the natural world.

HoliDaze Mini-camp is staffed by educators who foster young people’s innate curiosity and enthusiasm about their surroundings through a mix of outdoor explorations and age-appropriate activities, games and crafts. Immersed in the relative wilderness of Teatown, we challenge our campers to not only learn the traditional skills of tracking and recognizing local plants and animals, but to see first-hand the connections between and among species, the web of life. Most important, however, is that our campers fully realize that they are an essential part of nature and that their behavior and choices matter.

The camp is divided into two different time slots, depending on the child’s age. Parents can choose to sign up their child for the full session or individual days (fee prorated).
