Coming Soon to Sessions on the Record:

Nick Russo, who we heard recently on guitar with the Jon Burr Trio, will be bringing his own group to the studio later this month.  Matt Turk, who appeared with Curtis Becraft a few weeks ago will be returning as well.

2012 Clearwater Festival:

WDFH will have a table at this year's Clearwater Festival, to be held June 16th and 17th at Croton Point Park.  Please stop by and say hi in between sets from Ani Defranco, The Flecktones, Tinariwen, The Klezmatics, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Chapin and many more.

Woody Guthrie 100th Anniversary Concert/WDFH Benefit:

We're proud to announce that WDFH will be hosting an All Star concert to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Woody Guthrie's birth.  This will also double as a benefit to raise money for the station.  Bands scheduled to appear are Fred Gillen Jr. and Hope Machine and also The Folkadelics, both of whom have appeared at WDFH in the past and we're excited to have them back.  The night will likely include other artists and musicians sitting in and playing Woody's music.  So save the evening of June 30th and watch this space for details.

$10,000 Matching Grant!

We are extremely excited to tell you that we have received a major matching gift from WDFH listener Douglas Durst of the Durst Organization.  Mr. Durst is known for his leadership in environment-friendly buildings, including the Bank of America Tower in midtown Manhattan.

Mr. Durst has made a pledge to donate $10,000 if we can raise $10,000
from other sources.

This means that if you make a tax-deductible donation to WDFH, Mr. Durst will match your donation dollar for dollar, doubling the value of your gift.

Please visit our site for more information on how you can take part in this exciting donation.
