Patch recently profiled the efforts of Croton resident and Elmsford Raceway owner Lou del Rosario to help those thousands who lost homes and loved ones in the typhoon that struck his native Philippines, so shortly after the islands suffered an 7.2 earthquake.
Del Rosario's fundraising for his country through the Croton-on-Hudson Rotary Club has garnered him a fair amount of media attention, and he is happy to further spread the word that even as our immediate attention for the tragedy wanes, the population's needs are still vast.
In mid-November, del Rosario was interviewed by Richard French on the Richard French Live Show, a nightly public affairs programs from the Regional News Network, shown in full above on YouTube.

Del Rosario knows the greatest needs for the survivors in the Philippines, before rebuilding efforts can really begin in earnest, is still just simply getting food and water to the half million left with so little.
His manager at the Raceway, also from the Philippines, still has not heard from relatives and faces a tough holiday season.

Del Rosario considers himself lucky, so far. “Thank God my immediate family is fine. My extended family, I don’t know.”
