Maryknoll Sisters will celebrate their Centennial and the congregation’s long-term commitment to preserving and protecting the environment with the dedication of their Garden of Gratitude and Promise on Saturday, June 2, 2012, on the Maryknoll Sisters Center grounds, 10 Pinesbridge Road, Ossining, NY.
The dedication ceremony, which is open to the public, will express in a tangible way the Congregation’s thankfulness for 100 years of fruitful service, as well as faith for a future filled with hope and further productivity.
Sister Rebecca Macugay, vice president of Maryknoll Sisters, will make opening remarks and a liturgical
dance will be performed by Sister Yoo Soo Kim, MM, of Korea.

The Garden features a 400-million-year-old Slab of Helderberg formation. Found on the grounds at Maryknoll, the slab dates from the Lower Devonian Period and contains brachiopods, bryonzoans and trilobites.
