Mad Men Tour
The
Mad Man Places Tour
This two hour bus tour will take participants to places
in the Village of Ossining that are mentioned in the first three seasons of the
Mad Men TV series. It is part fantasy and part local history. Accordingly, the
sites that connect the fictional Don Draper with the real “Bard of the
Suburbs,” Pulitzer Prize author, John Cheever, are on the itinerary. Stops
include:
· The Ossining Train
Station where Draper and Cheever boarded trains to Manhattan.

· Sing Sing Prison.
Cheever taught writing to the inmates and if Betty Draper had her way her
husband would have been locked up there.

· Trinity Church
where Cheever sought peace and Draper should have.
· Keenan House where
there has always been a bar of some kind since the late 19th
century. This is a post tour opportunity to relax and taste some of the 60’s
era cocktails and finger-food that that Cheever and Draper might have certainly
enjoyed. (Note cocktails are optional and at your own expense.)
