Fresh off the historic passing of the County budget by bipartisan coalition, the Honorable Robert P. Astorino will outline his administration’s priorities for 2013 and deliver the “State of the County” address during a Westchester County Association (WCA) event that marks the incumbent’s first major public appearance in an election year:
WCA Breakfast with the County Executive
8:00 am - 10:00 am
Westchester Marriott Hotel
670 White Plains Road
Tarrytown, New York 10591
“Last year, more than 400 businesspeople and community leaders attended our County Executive Breakfast and got some of the inside story about how officials planned to tackle problems in the county,” said Amy Allen, managing director, Advocacy and International Business, WCA. “As 2013 is an election year, anyone following the County Executive race should take this unique opportunity to ask the CE directly about the issues that matter most to taxpayers and businesspeople.”
According to Allen, the County Executive will discuss the economic challenges facing Westchester, as well as steps being taken to ensure that Westchester County retains its Triple A credit rating. Mr. Astorino will also answer questions from the audience.
The event, which is sponsored by: ENT & Allergy Associates, Con Edison, CohnReznick, O'Connor Davies, POMCO Group, Search Smart Marketing and the Westchester Marriott, is open to the public. Tickets are $75.00 for WCA members and $90.00 for each future member and include continental breakfast. Advance reservations online are required for this event at westchester.org. Payment by credit card and check are accepted.
On February 15, the WCA will also host a Political Friday event with New Rochelle Mayor and County Executive Democratic Candidate Noam Bramson. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your seat for this exclusive breakfast event. As the County’s preeminent business membership organization, the WCA has planned programming throughout 2013 to help members and non-members cut through the political rhetoric and learn more about all of the candidates.
“The Westchester County Association remains committed to serving as a resource for voters and to providing a strong and clear voice for the interests of Westchester business on regional, national and international levels,” Allen explained. “Whatever the outcome of this race, we will work collaboratively with the County Executive to foster economic vitality in Westchester and the region.”
