This
Saturday, Nov 9th the Paramount Hudson Valley hosts one of the
funkiest concerts of the year. The New York Blues Hall of Fame Night is your
chance to hear local blues legends perform live as they are honored for their
lifetime achievements and dedication to their craft. This jazzy evening celebrates
the great Blues musicians of New York including many artists that live in or
were born in Peekskill, NY.
Past
inductees and this year’s inductees will be rocking down the house at the
Paramount. Performers and inductees include:
Ray Blue – A Peekskill resident and to-be-inducted Hall Of
Fame saxophonists, composer and performer. “It’s one thing to be a good
composer it’s another to be a great performer. Ray Blue’s got the whole
package.” – Jean Szlamowicz, Jazz Hot, said regarding the legendary Blues
artist.

Sam Allen – A 28-year blues singer and guitarist in New York. Most famously know as the lead guitarist and singer for The James Cotton Blues Band, and his legendary soulful voice.

Michael Cochran – An international Blues pianist, composer, arranger and instructor extraordinaire. Born in Peekskill, Michael continues to perform and share his talent all over the US and the world.
Lady Peachena & The Great Divas of Gospel – One of this
year’s inductees and legendary gospel singers, will definitely bring the energy
with them. Founder, Grammy-nominated songwriter and down right fiery singer,
Lady Peachena, is sure to light up the night.

Big Joe Fitz – A Hudson Valley and Woodstock NY Blues radio
legend will be inducted this year. Big Joe Fitz has hosted Blues Radio WDST
