Description: This 10th annual Ossining Matters benefit concert "From Center Field to Center Stage" features NY Yankee/Latin Emmy Award nominated Bernie Williams. There are a few tickets left for the concert; the reception is sold out. 

Cost: Adults $40, students, staff, seniors $20

Ossining: Ossining in 3D:Bicentennial Photo and Map Art Show Guided Tour

Where: Ossining Public Library

When: Saturday, April 20th at 2:00 p.m

Cost: Free

Description: John C. Wunderlich, President of the Ossining Historical Society and Curator of the Ossining Bicentennial Photo and Map Art Show, will be leading a guided tour of the exhibit. Join Mr. Wunderlich as he explains location, details and interesting facts about the exhibit. Also during the tour the bicentennial journal “The Ossining Story: a Bicentennial Celebration 1813-2013,” a 160 page booklet of photos and history of the Village of Ossining, will be on-hand and available for sale at $10.00 each.

ELSEWHERE IN WESTCHESTER:

Bedford: Spring into Art Show at St. Patrick's School

Where: St. Patrick's Parochial School at 483 Old Post Road in Bedford

When: 7 p.m. Friday

Cost: $35

Description: A wide range of pieces, including paintings, photographs and sculptures, from local arists will be for sale at the event. Attendees will enjoy refreshments while supporting the arts.

Pleasantville: North America Cup for Table Tennis

Where: Westchester Table Tennis Center

When: Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Description: Pleasantville will play host to the North American table tennis championship this weekend, featuring professionals from the U.S., Canada and Bermuda. U.S. Olympians Ariel Hsing, Lily Zhang and Timothy Wang; and Canada’s Pierre-Luc Theriault, the reigning North American men’s champion, will be among the competitors.

Cost: $10 Saturday; $15 Sunday

Somers: "Art Within Nature" Photography Show

Where: Somers Public Library, 80 Primrose St. in Somers

When: Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 at 10 a.m.

Cost: Free

Description: A solo photography show by Pleasantville resident Robert Uricchio, will be on display at the Somers Public Library. There will be approximately 30 images exhibited, mostly taken within the Hudson Valley area.

Somers: Tour Historic Stone Home

WhereGerard Crane House in Somers that is located on Route 202

When: Sunday, April 21 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased from Schirmer at dschirmer@somerslandtrust.org.

Description: A Somers couple who lives in a historic stone home, that was built by an early circus entrepreneur, have offered to help the Somers Land Trust raise money for the rebuild of another historic home in the Angle Fly Preserve. They have offered their home, known as the Gerard Crane House that is located on Route 202, as part of a fundraiser. 

Tarrytown: Sassy Ladies Shopping Night Out

WhereThe DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 455 S. Broadway, Tarrytown

When: Friday, April 19, 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Cost: $15

Description: Enjoy a fun-filled night of shopping, socializing, and new experiences at the 3rd Annual Sassy Ladies Shopping Night Out. Pick up fashion tips and shop until you drop. Each year, the event gets bigger and better, and the organizers are excited to announce that this year they will have over 50 vendors with unique and fabulous products and services. 

Tarrytown: Third Friday

Where: In the businesses and on the sidewalks of Main Street, South Broadway and South Washington Street in Tarrytown.

When: Friday, April 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. (and later for live music in the Set Back Inn).

Cost: Free

Description: Following a long winter break, it’s the first Third Friday of the season which promises a lively spring celebration rich with music, art openings, kids’ activities and more in the center of the village. Some of the offerings include: the live band Four Piece Racket; a W@tercooler open housewith Sleepy Hollow paper artist Laura Carraro on display and a chance to make your own paper collages; Studio A Gallery having an opening reception from 6 to  9 p.m. for Hudson Valley Vista, an exhibit of plein air landscapes by Denise Petit Caplan; and finally, Juke Joint playing at the Set Back Inn with a special horn section, starting at 9:30 p.m. 

Yorktown: Gluten-Free Cooking

Where: Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center, 1271 Hanover St. in Yorktown

When: Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

Cost: $20 per person, $5 for children under the age of 12. 

Description: Culinary nutritionist Mary Opfer will offer a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to turn nutritious spring vegetables into delicious, hearty, gluten-free meals.
