Ossining Union Free School District is welcoming a familiar face to Claremont Elementary School. Kate Mathews, the current assistant principal of Anne M. Dorner Middle School was chosen at the elementary school’s new principal, effective July 1.
Mathews taught music and theatre arts for 20 years before becoming Ossining school’s director of cultural arts and was later promoted to her current position.
Ossining Superintendent of School Ray Sanchez recently sat down with Mathews for a video interview to allow school district residents to get to know her better.
