Dolphin Dies on the Hudson River

A 10-ft long adult Risso’s dolphin that is believed to have been seen swimming up and down the Hudson River Memorial Day weekend, was found dead.

According to NBC New York, officials said it is extraordinarily rare for the animal, found in Haverstraw Bay by a boater, to have been that far north. Officials are performing tests on the deceased dolphin to determine the cause of death.
