1 p.m.: Everyone shoveling out this morning had to duck hunks of wet snow, but now the sun has melted most of the now from the trees.

Many roads in Ossining and Croton are barely passable, with leafy downed limbs spread out in the street.

The number of customers without power in Croton has grown to 1,740. Cortlandt—the whole town, not just the southwest corner—has 5,508 powerless customers. Brook Street remains closed—the falling tree took the tops of two utility poles with it.

Ossining's numbers have dropped. Con Ed reports 5,098 without electricity. With no power, traffic lights aren't working on Route 9 and 9A in several places. Police have put barricades across the intersection of Chappaqua Road and 9A to prevent left turns across traffic.

Con Ed's estimated restoration time has moved to 4 p.m.

Con Ed reported 6,351 without power in Ossining (village and town).

The utility reported 1,308 customers without power in Croton, and 4,823 in Cortlandt. Brook Street was a tangle of wires this morning as trees and a utility pole had all come down yesterday afternoon. The Post Road was closed between Lounsbury and the police station.
