Croton-on-Hudson Earth Day

People in the Croton area are gearing up for their Earth Day celebration.

As Earth Day approaches, we're getting ready for an Earth Day celbration of our own in Croton-on-Hudson. The gathering will be held at on Saturday April 28 from  9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Here's a list of all the Earth Day activities from the Village:

 

  • Enjoy Music by Strange Pools, Rose Coen, and Moment of Panic
  • Get a free Earth Day T-Shirt (first come, first served)
  • Make a “Real Fish Print” with Joe Mullins
  • Participate in our Sporting Goods Swap – bring something!
  • Learn about "Funny Fish of the Hudson River" from Chris Letts
  • Make Sculptures from Recycled Items & Driftwood with Molly Greece
  • Demonstration of  Invasive Plants by Jim Gmelin
  • Take a Bird Walk led by the Saw Mill River Audubon Society
  • Take a Hike with the Croton Trails Committee / Get a Trails Map
  • Help Boy Scouts Clean up the Canoe Launch along Croton River
  • Learn Native Plants from Master Gardeners, Cornell Cooperative Ext.
  • Riverdrifters Art Works will be on display
  • Learn all about Backyard Composting
  • Come Plant Morning Glory Seeds with us
  • Discuss Tree Care with Mike Harris from SavATree
