Local Resident with Cancer Asks Community to Raise Money for Others with Cancer

Local man with cancer, raises money for people in a similar situation.

Don Reynolds is local resident and a wonderful man who embraces the power of love and generosity. Don is well known for his work for many charities.  Before becoming ill, Don could often be seen running in marathons and road races to raise money for kids with cancer, and was very active, collecting hundreds of gifts, for Toys for Tots each holiday season. Without question, Don symbolizes love and care for his fellow human beings. Out of respect for Don and his quest to help those in need, his friends and family have joined together to create Team Don Reynolds for the 2012 Stay Awake a Thon.

Now, he needs our love and care as he fights the biggest battle of his life: pancreatic cancer. Don has asked that we work even harder this year than last to raise money for those who find themselves in a similar situation to his.    PLEASE come out to our fundraiser and let’s show our commitment, not only to Don, but to all those who are fighting for their lives.

So many of us have pieces of gold or silver that we don’t use. Maybe its jewelry you don’t like, is broken, or you’ve lost a matching piece. Team Don Reynolds wants to help YOU walk away with cash while also raising money to help those with cancer!

Team Don Reynolds is holding a “Cash for Gold, silver, or platinum” party on April 21 at 1 Croton Point Ave, Croton on Hudson, NY in the main lobby. (Directly across from the Croton Train Sation) from 1:00-4:00pm.

If you cannot attend on April 21, 2012, please consider joining Don’s team by going to www.active.com/donate/cancerneversleeps/teamdonreynolds
and clicking on “create a team member fundraising page”.  Or, if you would rather donate to his team, you can send a check to Hen Hud Leos PO Box 660, Verplanck, NY  10596 and put “Don Reynolds” in the memo line.
