Ossining Farmer’s Market Opening Day is this Saturday, May 26!

Summer is officially here!  Or, at least it will be as far as I’m concerned on Saturday, May 26 when the Ossining Farmer’s Market re-opens for the season.  The Market runs every Saturday through December 15th, 2012, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10am and from 10:30 – noon the Tessera String Band will be performing for your shopping delight.

Just a few of the vendors expected are the Amazing Real Live Food Company with their delicious cheeses (try their Chili Pepper Cheese!), Feather Ridge Farm (their whole chickens are expensive but so much better than the supermarket version,) Pickle Licious with pickles, olives and relishes (we love their garlic stuffed olives,) Bombay Emerald Chutney with their samosas and chutneys (awesome for a last minute supper that’s not cereal), and Hudson River Apiaries with their hearty local honey and beeswax candles. 

Come on down, see your friends and neighbors, and stock up for the week.
