Keenan House Reopens April 15!

The former head waiter is now a co-owner.

The popular Ossining gastro-pub that got an early nod from the New York Times is reopening under new management with many of the old faces and menu favorites.

The eatery's former head waiter, Ali Sahin, and his cousin Endell Nahir are the new owners. Former owners Steve and Jessica Vescio had closed the restaurant abruptly in January, citing personal reasons.

Sahin will still be working the front of the house.

"We'll have some familiar faces. Our customers' favorites remain on the menu, plus there will be some new dishes," said Assistant Manager William Bird, part of the returning staff. "We have added a little Mediterranean flair."

Bird said the Keenan House is also working with the Ossining Arts Council to feature the work of local artists on its walls.

At the grand opening, customers will see works by 16 local artists. The exhibits will rotate bimonthly.

"We thought that was a good way to support the community and have a local flavor here," Bird said.

Keenan House is located at 199 Main St.
