Feed the Birds: EagleFest, Lil Book Nook

Feed the Birds of Croton expands, ever so slightly, into a room dedicated to children and books.

Certainly of the more unique shops in Croton, Feed the Birds, got even more special recently when it opened it’s Lil Birdie Book Nook, a tiny kids’ room full of books, and educational toys and games.

From their Facebook page:

Over the last year, it's been revamped and revamped again. In addition to the numerous puzzles and an expanded line of educational toys & games, we now stock over 200 titles of children's books---from award-winning picture/story books to forensic wildlife science books. We've covered toddlers to teens and everyone in between. Not a bad use of 90 sq. ft.

Up front, you'll notice it's eagle time!

FTB is gearing up for the festival dedicated to a very grand bird coming to the region this weekend. EagleFest lands at Croton Point Park and Teatown Reservation on Saturday, Feb. 9 (among many other places) and you can get in the spirit by snuggling up to these cute fuzzy eagles. And the store has EagleFest maps.
