Croton Community Coalition’s First Evening Public Forum Addresses Underage Drinking, Drug Use & Bullying  --Program Introduces New Teen Leadership Council, Revamped Website & Student PSA; Workshop to Promote Open Communication Between Parents and Kids----Program Introduces New Teen Leadership Council, Revamped Website & Student PSA; Workshop to Promote Open Communication Between Parents and Kids--Croton-on-Hudson, NY - The Croton Community Coalition will present a workshop at its annual community forum, “What To Do When The Conversation With Your Kid Backfires: How to Discuss Alcohol, Drugs and Bullying With Our Youth,” on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.In addition to the workshop, attendees will get a first look at the Coalition’s new website, meet the recently-elected Teen Leadership Council, and screen the Coalition-supported and student-produced PSA. “This is our first evening event, giving the public an opportunity to become more familiar with the Croton Community Coalition’s mission and work in the community as a catalyst for the prevention of underage drinking and drug abuse. Tonight’s agenda will focus on our recent accomplishments and the workshop will serve to open lines of communication between parents and their kids about the dangers of youth alcohol and drug use and their connection to bullying,” said Wayne Francis, Coalition Coordinator.
