ConEd is in the middle of repairs on the village's west side. Crews have dug up the ground around Prospect Place. ConEd officials say the work they're doing today is part of their effort to upgrade the gas system in the area.
"We have recently completed upgrades to the services of each of the individual homes and are currently doing work to prepare for the upgrade of the (gas) main," said ConEd's Manager of Public Affairs Jane Solnick.
The company says that on Monday they will start their upgrades on the water main line. ConEd hopes to have completed the repairs sometime next week.
