Hudson Valley Weather said bands of heavy snow are passing through the region.
Hudson Valley Weather has cited reports of thunder snow from along the river on its Facebook page, saying "Getting some reports of thunder snow across the southern zones as low top thunderstorms off the ocean are pushing into the region. These bands will also cause a burst of moderate to heavy snowfall as they push through."
According to the National Weather Service, there's a chance of rain in Croton-on-Hudson and Ossining today.
