Don't Snow Job Us!

As the timeless saying tells us, "There are lies, damned lies and statistics." So it goes with the jobs numbers. Boy, are we ever being jobbed on that data. It's much worse than we know.

Eight and a half percent unemployment, and the economy is back. So we were told last week. The administration's economic policies are working.  The media have so dumbed down our expectations that this is supposed to be good news.  It wasn't three years ago when unemployment was at 5% and we were told we were in a recession.  Told you that in this political season, with the mainstream media in bed with the establishment politicians, truth would be the first casualty. It is being killed by the death of a thousand cuts.

Europe, here we come! Except, this time to share in your misery, not help you alleviate it.

The truth, the American people DON'T want to hear the truth!! They have been lied to for the last three years. Don't worry said the president, unemployment with the 800 billion dollar stimulus will not go over 8%. How about all those people that are OFF the rolls because they are working two and three jobs. How about those who have even stopped looking for work? The actual figure is probably around 10-11%. Have any doubts about the economy, just go to the grocery store or the gas station.

The truth! You can't handle the TRUTH!!!!! Europeans are fighting to save a 35 hour work week, 4 weeks paid vacation and paid for health care. We are fighting to save working 2 jobs to get by, no paid vacation and ridiculously expensive health care. How did we get so stoopid?

There are lots of people who know that we made a national mistake in 2008. As a nation we were reeling ... and we swallowed utopian promises and gave the reins to a man unqualified. It's our mistake to correct.

"..been lied to for the last three years" Where have you been, it goes much further back that that. This is a national disgrace caused by both political parties, to blame just one is to blind oneself from reality.

Eight years of Junior decayed our economy. The next person in office (despite party) was destined to fail by virtue of inheriting a mountian of economic woes unable to be rectified in four years. Let's all be realistic about that.

I wish more people would WAKE UP!!! Pull their heads out of you know where and realize that we are in deep, deep trouble as a nation. I don't know when, but the next financial disaster will make 2008 look like a birthday party.

Obama was destined to fail because he wasn't prepared for the job at hand. Look at his advisers. Secretary of the treasury, a man who couldn't do his own taxes using turbo tax? He said he was going to change our nation , and he has certainly done that. Unfortunately it was a change for the worse. A man raised with a socialist idea of how the economy works, doesn't. Lets face it , He is a socialist. He wants us to be more like Europe. Is he kidding? President Obama started out with a handicap. His parents and grand parents were socialistic thinkers. He has surrounded himself with these types. Look at his pastor of 20 years. Look at Bill Ayers. The list goes on. You are who you associate with. It is time to change the direction our county is going in. We cant keep raising the national debt, that is only kicking the can down the road. We now owe more than we make. You know what happens when that is the case. Can you say taking a wheel barrow loaded with money, too go shopping?

Nothing wrong with my vision, I have an excellent Opthamalogist, thanks for your concern though Theresa! By the way, it's "MA", not "Ma"- which you either chose to ignore or didn't (really) see. Rather how we got into this situation with our two-party system, both equally responsible. No clean hands, only some that are dirtier than others.
Francis T McVetty January 18, 2012 at 07:48 PM
MA , whats the difference, it isn't your name? Don't get so feisty about a pseudonym.
MA January 18, 2012 at 08:28 PM
Thanks for proving the point I made indirectly above, Francis. You interpreted "MA" as you chose to, not as it was intended. It is not, by the way a pseudonym, they are my initials which is what my friends call me so, yes, it is my name. These are the semantics that keep the focus misdirected and Americans divided. We need to work together even if we don't share the same philosophies to a productive, prosperous (for all!), united America. May God grant us the patience, wisdom and clarity to do so.
