St. Augustine's Cemetery Tour

The Ossining Historical Society Museum is hosting a walking tour of St. Augustine’s Cemetery, 75 Hawkes Avenue on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.  Believed to be one of the oldest Catholic cemeteries in Westchester, it is the final resting place of local veterans, aqueduct and railroad workers as well as Sing Sing prisoners.  For questions please contact Patricia Sacchi at phsacchi@gmail.com or 914-552-5054 or Ossining Historical Society Museum (914)941-0001. Multiple speakers that day will be in attendance.  There is no need to RSVP and the tour is free, however a $10 donation is greatly appreciated.  In case of extreme weather, the tour will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m.  Use the main entrance and park near the large group of statues.  The tour will take approximately 1 ½ hours.
