Four Injured in Accident at Routes 9A and 134 in Ossining

A two-van collision at the intersection of Routes 9A and 134 sent four people to Westchester Medical Center this morning. The accident happened at approximately 8:00 AM. Both vans appeared totally destroyed.

The driver of one van had to be rescued by the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Ossining Fire Department. Crews from Engine 97 and Rescue 14 used the jaws-of-life to cut and spread open the van. The OVAC crew tended to the victim while the OFD worked to free him. The Westchester County Police assisted at the scene, and an ambulance and crew from the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department transported one victim to the hospital.
