The Words & Music Concert Series presented by TD Bank continues its fall season this coming Sunday, October 27th at 2:00pm with a performance by Dean Friedman plus special guest Marci Geller.
Dean Friedman first marked his entry into pop consciousness in 1977 with the Top 20 chart success of his infectious hit single, Ariel. Friedman’s consummate songwriting and performing have earned him a loyal international following, devoted to the sophisticated, funny and profound work of a master songsmith. He is currently in the midst of a 40 city concert tour in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Marci Geller is a piano-based contemporary singer-songwriter whose latest CD Open Book is garnering airplay on radio stations across the country. It debuted at #33 on the Folk DJ Chart and was named one of the “Top 100 Albums 2012” on the Cashbox Magazine/Roots Music Report Folk chart. She has performed on Live with Regis, Good Day NY and Fox Morning Show, and her music can be heard in a multitude of TV soundtracks.
The Words & Music series brings well known singer-songwriters and recording artists to the Library’s 200-seat Budarz Theater for free Sunday afternoon concerts. All performances begin at 2:00pm.
