Westchester Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board presents a free public meeting about the basics of farmland protection, Ag Districts, and support organizations for farm and landowners.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Somers, NYS Ag and Markets, will speak about how Ag Districts work for farmers and the public. Panelists include representatives from Watershed Ag Council, NOFA-NY (Northeast Organic Farming Association), NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research & Development Authority), Cornell Cooperative Extension Services, Hilltop Hanover Farm, Westchester Land Trust and others.
