Fire Rips Through Ossining Home

At least a dozen people are homeless this morning after an overnight fire at an Ossining home.

More than a dozen people are homeless this morning after an early morning fire ripped through a home at 80 Broadway in Ossining. Firefighters were called to the blaze at the multi-family home around 2:30 a.m. The flames from the fire were finally under control around 5:30 a.m.

A three-year-old was checked for smoke inhalation after firefighters arrived at the scene. No others were injured in the blaze.

Police say at least a dozen people lived in the home. The Red Cross is assisting those who lived in the home. They are being taken care of at the Ossining Community Center this morning. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
